The Shakato Experience is an intimate guided coffee tasting built around our signature shaken espresso beverage, the Shakato™. Designed for guests who want to go beyond simply ordering a drink, this experience explores the flavor, texture, preparation, and science behind one of UG’s most unique creations.

Guests will be seated in small groups and guided through a multi-course tasting featuring four handcrafted 10 oz Shakatos, an espresso tasting, palate cleansers, and paired snacks while each drink is freshly shaken and explained in front of you.

Throughout the experience we’ll explore:
The origin of the Shakato™ (“shaken macchiato”)
What makes UG sweet cream different
Why Shakatos are shaken and strained
How the “head” changes espresso texture and bitterness
The inspiration and flavor design behind each featured drink

Featured drinks rotate and may include exclusive flavors and experimental builds not available during normal UG service.

This is a slower, more immersive version of The Underground Coffee Shop, focused on storytelling, experimentation, hospitality, and the experience of coffee itself.
